These layers are:

HDF core: high-density wood fibres (HDF) are taken from wood chips and constructed together through a careful layering process. This involves the unique blend of wood fibres being fused together by high levels of pressure and heat

Balancing paper: applied to the underside of the HDF core, this layer provides added protection against moisture to prevent laminate wood flooring from swelling or warping

Decorative paper: laid on the topside of the HDF, this layer features the desired print or finish, typically replicating the look of wood or stone

Laminate layer: this is a clear laminate sheet that acts as a sealing top layer. It’s designed to protect the laminate flooring plank from general wear and tear and exposure to moisture
